Riyad Mahrez unleashed an empathic half-volley to put Manchester City firmly in the driver's seat of Sunday's derby against Manchester United.

The Algerian star made it 3-1 after getting on the end of Kevin De Bruyne's corner and driving his shot into the bottom right corner beyond a helpless David De Gea.

City won the match 4-1.
