Aston Villa have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen to sign Jamaican winger Leon Bailey, the Premier League club announced Saturday,
The deal is subject to the 23-year-old completing a medical and agreeing to contract terms.
Signing Bailey is expected to cost Aston Villa £30 million, according to The Athletic's Gregg Evans.
Bailey was deployed primarily on the right wing last season, scoring 15 goals and providing 11 assists in all competitions.
His impending arrival is expected to offer a boost to an Aston Villa attack that may be without captain Jack Grealish next season. Manchester City are pushing hard to sign the English midfielder, and the club reportedly made a £100-million offer to Villa.
