The Premier League has reported no new cases of the coronavirus after a fourth round of testing.

None of the 1,130 players and staff members who were evaluated on Thursday and Friday have the coronavirus, the league said in a statement.

Overall, 12 people have tested positive after 3,882 checks across the top flight.

Earlier in the week, the Premier League confirmed June 17 as the provisional restart date for the 2019-20 season. Clubs had already agreed to resume contact training.

Players and staff will continue to be checked twice a week.

In the previous round, four people from two clubs were found to have the coronavirus. The Premier League has decided not to reveal the identities of anyone who tests positive.
