Arsenal manager Unai Emery is facing a fitness quandary ahead of Saturday's matchup with title rivals Liverpool.
Four Gunners defenders are currently being assessed in the build-up to the anticipated clash at the Emirates, according to the club's official website.
Full-backs Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal, and Sead Kolasinac, as well as center-back Sokratis, are all being evaluated as the clock ticks down. Left-back duo Monreal and Kolasinac both have minor issues in their right hamstring, while Bellerin's is a thigh problem and Sokratis is struggling with an ankle knock.
Elsewhere, teenage midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, the club's player of the month for August, will have to put his fine debut season on hold this weekend. He's ruled out through suspension due to his red card against Blackpool in the League Cup.
Additionally, captain Laurent Koscielny remains out while his recovery from an Achilles tear continues, and midfielder Mohamed Elneny is not expected back in training for another fortnight.
Meanwhile, Liverpool announced midfield pair Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita are expected to miss out again with their respective hamstring injuries, but Mo Salah will be fit.
The Reds will head into Saturday's bout sitting joint top of the Premier League table after going unbeaten in their first 10 games. Arsenal, who've lost twice, sit four points back.
