If there is indeed a "Special One" in Manchester, it isn't Jose Mourinho.
Roy Keane disowned the Manchester United boss during an ITV segment Wednesday, and instead bestowed the honour on Manchester City counterpart Pep Guardiola.
Guardiola's side decimated Borussia Monchengladbach 4-0 in a rescheduled Champions League tie - four days after putting on a show at Old Trafford.
Keane - who confronted longtime United boss Sir Alex Ferguson on several occasions - now sees something amiss with Mourinho.
"Mourinho reckons he's the 'Special One,' to me this guy (Guardiola) is," the Republic of Ireland assistant said.
"I think what was important when he (Guardiola) first went in there, the decision to get rid of two or three really important characters from Man City - (Joe) Hart and (Yaya) Toure - he made the decision: 'You're not for me.'
"He says he's a challenging coach and he doesn't look like he's messing about," Keane continued. " ... They're playing with a lot of confidence, he's rotating the squad, the players are playing with a lot of confidence after a decent start. I wouldn't like to mess with him."
Mourinho famously anointed himself the "Special One" during his first unveiling at Chelsea in 2004.
