Middlesbrough continues to be busy right until the end of the transfer window, announcing Wednesday the signing of promising young winger Adama Traore from Aston Villa.
The Spaniard, 20, becomes Boro's 11th new face of the summer, as Aitor Karanka's side loads up in its bid to avoid an immediate drop back to the Championship.
"He is another important player and I am expecting a lot from him," Karanka said of the signing, which sees Traore pen a four-year deal.
"I've known him since he was a kid. He went into the national team just after I left, but I know all about him and what he can do. His level is higher than he showed last season, but in the right environment I'm hoping that he will show what he is capable of."
Traore, a Barcelona product, joined Aston Villa just last summer, but found minutes hard to come by as the Villans were relegated to the Championship.
At the Riverside Stadium, he'll offer Karanka another intriguing attacking option in support of marquee striker Alvaro Negredo.
