The treacherous green complexes at Pinehurst No. 2 are presenting significant challenges for the field at the U.S. Open - unless your name is Sahith Theegala.
The American faced what appeared to be an impossible shot behind the bunker on the par-3 15th. However, Theegala played a low running chip that took the break perfectly and turned into the hole for an improbable birdie.
The highlight was part of an electric start to the round for Theegala, who's now 4-under on the day and inside the projected cut after opening with a 7-over 77.
