Tosti hits insane 338-yard drive to 6 feet on island green

Alejandro Tosti won't be lifting the Wanamaker Trophy at the end of week at Valhalla, but the Argentine can certainly lay claim to hitting the craziest shot of this year's PGA Championship.

The par-4 13th hole is one of the course's signature holes, with an island green sitting atop massive limestone rock walls. It's a layup off the tee and a wedge to the green for the field - unless you are Tosti and well out of contention on Sunday.

The TOUR rookie opted to take driver and try and hit the green, much to the bewilderment of the other people on the tee. Somehow, he covered the 338-yard distance, with his ball stopping immediately just six feet from the hole. The shot was so unbelievable that Tosti needed to confirm where it landed by looking through his measuring device.

A look at the shot dispersion chart from the final round shows just how outrageous Tosti's drive was. His ball is the golden dot on the green. Every single other player laid up short of the water.

Tosti - who ranks seventh on TOUR in driving distance for the season - would make the eagle putt en route to a final-round 68.
