Son Heung-Min scored the 100th goal of his Premier League career Saturday to help Tottenham Hotspur stay in the running for Champions League qualification.

Son unleashed a beautiful curling effort in the 10th minute of Saturday's contest against Brighton & Hove Albion to become the first Asian player to reach the century mark in the competition.

Lewis Dunk's 34th-minute header temporarily equalized the match, but a wide-open Harry Kane converted in the 79th minute to give Tottenham their first win in three matches.

Spurs rode their luck on occasions, with the video assistant referee ruling out two of Brighton's goals for handball offenses. The referees also waved off what appeared to be a foul in the penalty area on Kaoru Mitoma.

Managers Cristian Stellini and Roberto De Zerbi were both sent off for their roles in a touchline scuffle that followed one of the decisions.

The win keeps Tottenham in fifth place, three points behind Newcastle United and Manchester United, who occupy the final two Champions League places.
