Tottenham Hotspur reached an agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday to sign Irish right-back Matt Doherty for £15 million, according to The Telegraph's John Percy.

Doherty is set to follow Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Joe Hart as Tottenham's third signing of the summer.

Tottenham will now look to sell Serge Aurier, The Guardian's Fabrizio Romano reports, with AC Milan leading the race to sign the 27-year-old.

Spurs manager Jose Mourinho is considered a big fan of Doherty, who scored in Wolves' 3-2 victory over the north London side in March.

Known for his ability to push high and infiltrate the opponent's penalty area, the 28-year-old thrived in a right wing-back role under Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

Doherty joined Wolves in 2010 from Irish club Bohemians for a reported £75,000, helping the club scale the divisions from League One to the Premier League. He's been ever-present since Wolves' returned to the top flight, missing just two league matches over the last two seasons.
