"We don't know exactly (what the injury is), it's the muscle," manager Jurgen Klopp said after the match. "He felt something in the hamstring. We don't know yet, obviously, we have to wait. We will see."
The Senegalese forward is expected to undergo tests in the coming days to discover the severity of the ailment.
Takumi Minamino, who joined Liverpool in January on a permanent transfer from Red Bull Salzburg, replaced Mane in the 33rd minute at Molineux.
It's unclear how Mane suffered the injury. The 27-year-old sat down and forced Wolves to put the ball out of play before picking himself up and heading to the touchline.
It'll be an even bigger blow if Liverpool lose Mane for an extended period. The 27-year-old, who was recently named African Footballer of the Year, has figured largely in the Reds' unbeaten start to the Premier League season, notching 11 goals and six assists in 22 appearances.
