Report: Chelsea trying to sign Abraham, Tomori to new 5-year deals

Chelsea have begun negotiations with representatives of Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori in an attempt to sign the youngsters to new five-year contracts, Jacob Steinberg and Fabrizio Romano of the Guardian report.

A new deal would reportedly more than double Abraham's £50,000-a-week wages, while Tomori will be rewarded after carving out a role with the first team.

The 21-year-olds have been leaned on as part of Chelsea's youth movement this season, as the club finds itself halfway through its two-window transfer ban.

Abraham has been a revelation in front of goal, having found the back of the net seven times in his last four matches. He still has three years left on his current contract.

Meanwhile, Tomori has proven useful in the heart of Chelsea's defense. The center-back, whose contract runs until 2021, scored his first goal for the club during a 5-2 thrashing of Wolverhampton on Saturday.
