West Ham United is days away from completing its first signing of the summer, sources told Sky Sports.

The Irons will reportedly pick up Fulham full-back Ryan Fredericks on a free transfer in the "next few days" after his contract at Craven Cottage expires.

Fulham offered Fredericks a new contract but, despite the club's promotion to the Premier League, he decided to move on.

The 25-year-old reportedly also had offers on the table from Bournemouth, the promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers, and relegated Swansea City, but has opted for a switch to the London Stadium.

Fredericks missed just two Championship games for Fulham this season and played the vast majority of the play-off final victory over Aston Villa. He amassed over 100 appearances for the west London club in three years.

The right-back is set to become Manuel Pellegrini's first signing as West Ham manager.
