Germany and Hoffenheim goalkeeper Oliver Baumann will miss several weeks with a foot injury picked up in Thursday's Europa League clash with Tottenham, the German club announced on Saturday.
"This is a bitter setback for all of us," the club's sporting director Andreas Schicker said in a statement.
The Bundesliga club did not indicate how long Baumann would be missing, but German media reported the goalie will miss between four and six weeks.
This means Baumann will likely miss Germany's two-legged Nations League quarter-final clash with Italy in March.
The 34-year-old Baumann was first called up to Germany's squad in 2020, but did not make his debut until October 2024, when he came in to replace the injured Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
