USA advances at T20 Cricket World Cup, Canada and Pakistan eliminated

It's official: America's a cricket powerhouse.
The United States advanced to the Super Eights of the T20 Cricket World Cup after it was awarded a point for a washout vs. Ireland on Friday in soggy Florida, finishing in second place in Group A.

The rainout means Pakistan and Canada are eliminated from contention at this year's tournament, and also means the U.S. automatically qualifies for the 2026 T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.
