Sporting de Gijon signs Igor Lichnovsky on loan from Porto

Igor Lichnovsky will spend some time honing his craft at El Molinon.
On Friday, Lichnovsky, 21, joined Sporting de Gijon on loan from FC Porto until the end of the season.

Lichnovsky, whose father is Austrian but whose surname stems from a Slovakian grandfather, is a product of Universidad de Chile. He has tallied four appearances this season for FC Porto B, Porto's reserve team, and made his debut for Chile's national team last year.
