Cristiano Ronaldo is just showing off.

The Real Madrid winger, putting his skills on display at the Club World Cup in Morocco this week, nearly scored one of the greatest goals you will see in Tuesday's semifinal against Mexican side Cruz Azul.

A Rabona is one thing - as Erik Lamela showed earlier this year - but doing it on the half-volley would have just been obscene.

You can do this sort of thing in a glorified exhibition match that you are already dominating. Also, you can do this sort of thing at any time when you are Cristiano Ronaldo.
