Lions' Elimimian wins Most Outstanding Defensive Player award

BC Lions linebacker Solomon Elimimian was named Most Outstanding Defensive Player in the CFL on Thursday for his record-breaking 2014 campaign.
Elimimian set a new league record for tackles with 143, adding eight special teams tackles for a total of 151. He also matched his career-high in sacks with five and set a new career-high in fumble recoveries with three.
The five-year CFL veteran was selected for the award over East Division nominee and Montreal Alouettes linebacker Bear Woods.
