Blue Bombers place Nichols on 6-game injured list

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers placed quarterback Matt Nichols on the six-game injured list after he suffered an upper-body injury in Thursday's game against the BC Lions, head coach Mike O'Shea announced.
Nichols will be re-evaluated in four-to-six weeks.
The QB ranks fourth in the league in passing yards (1,936) behind only Trevor Harris, Mike Reilly, and Nick Arbuckle. He leads all signal-callers in touchdown passes (15) and efficiency (107.2).
Chris Streveler has been named the starter for Friday's game against the Edmonton Eskimos.
