Saskatchewan Roughriders head coach Craig Dickenson confirmed that Cody Fajardo will start at quarterback in their Week 2 battle with the Ottawa Redblacks.

Fajardo replaced starter Zach Collaros following a blow to the latter's head on the third play of last week's season opener against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

While filling in, Fajardo completed 9 of 17 passes for 66 yards in a 23-17 loss. He added 34 yards and a touchdown on seven rushing attempts.

Collaros was then placed on the six-game injured list and Tiger-Cats linebacker Simoni Lawrence was handed a two-game suspension for the hit.

Dickenson also told reporters that Issac Harker will see snaps at quarterback against Ottawa.
