The football world will see a glimpse of Johnny Manziel in action for the Montreal Alouettes on Thursday, as a source told Chris O'Leary of CFL.ca the club will use the quarterback in specific packages.
Vernon Adams Jr. will get the start against the Edmonton Eskimos, but Manziel will see limited action just days after arriving in Montreal via trade from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Manziel didn't see any regular-season snaps in five games with Hamilton after spending time on the sidelines behind starter Jeremiah Masoli, but the Alouettes' offensive struggles will open the door for the former Heisman Trophy winner.
Montreal has just 69 points all season and sits in last in the East Division with a 1-4 record.
