The teams from last year's Grey Cup will be squaring off in Sunday's Eastern Final, and RedBlacks head coach Rick Campbell is keeping his eye on the prize heading into the game.

The Ottawa RedBlacks lost to the Edmonton Eskimos last season in the 103rd Grey Cup, and almost a year later will need to defeat the Eskimos in order to make their way back to the championship game.

Campbell acknowledged the coincidence, but isn't getting caught up in the added significance.

"That definitely makes it interesting," Campbell told CFL.ca on Tuesday. "The thing about it though is that it is a new year. Even though we have a lot of the same players and they have a lot of the same players, it's really a new year. I don't think that's going to be on the forefront of everyone's minds but I think it's an interesting thing to think about during the week but once the ball's kicked off that'll all go out the window."

The RedBlacks won both regular-season meetings with the Eskimos, the last being a 23-20 victory in week 7.

Campbell said preparation has been of the utmost importance in the playoffs.

"(We were) breaking down film on both Hamilton and Edmonton and having an initial game plan put together so that once we found out the results of the game we'd be able to hit the ground running."
