No matter what happens with Duron Carter's suspension appeal, he won't have to sit out a game anytime soon.
The Montreal Alouettes receiver will have his appeal for a one-game ban heard on Aug. 17, according to Gary Lawless of TSN. Carter was suspended after bumping an Ottawa RedBlacks coach following a touchdown catch during a game in June.
An appeal was filed on June 19, as Carter said he wasn't aware of what happened after he took a big hit making the grab.
"To tell the truth, I don't even know what happened," Carter said after the game. "I ran into the coach, apparently. I didn't even know I knocked him over. It's an emotional game. I'm excited. I got hit. I got a cut on my face from that hit. You tell me."
Carter will be eligible to play until his appeal is heard.
