Eskimos' Ojo to miss 2016 season with ruptured Achilles tendon

Edmonton Eskimos defensive back John Ojo's 2016 season has ended before it even begins.
Ojo, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound defensive back, suffered a ruptured right Achilles tendon during practice Monday and is expected to miss the entire 2016 season as a result.

The injury comes as a massive disappointment for Ojo, who was both a West Division All-Star and a CFL All-Star last season.
In his first season with the Eskimos in 2015, Ojo recorded 43 defensive tackles, eight special-teams tackles, five interceptions, one fumble recovery, and four knockdowns.
