Former UFC two-division champion Henry Cejudo teased Friday that he could return to action against former world boxing champion Floyd Mayweather.

Cejudo's manager, Ali Abdelaziz, also weighed in on the potential matchup.

Cejudo is an accomplished MMA fighter who retired from the sport last May after a bantamweight title defense against Dominick Cruz at UFC 249. Cejudo also held the UFC flyweight belt and is one of five fighters in the promotion's history to hold two titles simultaneously.

In March, "Triple C" hinted he could return to combat sports later in 2021 and suggested news about his future may soon be on its way.

UFC president Dana White appeared to meet with Mayweather and Rizin FF president Nobuyuki Sakakibara earlier this week. Mayweather participated in an exhibition boxing match under the Rizin FF banner in 2018.

Mayweather, 44, is one of the greatest boxers of his generation. He announced his retirement after a 2017 win over UFC star Conor McGregor, his last official contest.
