Former NBAers Lamar Odom, Baron Davis, Jermaine O'Neal, and Bonzi Wells have been "deactivated" from the BIG3, the three-on-three halfcourt league announced Wednesday night.
All were deactivated because of on-court struggles, and Odom was not "up to it from a competitive standpoint," a source told ESPN's Myron Medcalf. The BIG3 was the latest basketball comeback attempt for the 39-year-old Odom, who nearly died in 2015 as a result of a drug overdose in Las Vegas.
Davis, O'Neal, and Wells, meanwhile, are all more than 40 years old and have been out of the NBA for at least five years.
