Federer overcomes Nadal to set up Wimbledon final versus Djokovic
Roger Federer emerged victorious in his 40th career meeting with longtime foil Rafael Nadal, beating the Spaniard in the second men's semifinal match at Wimbledon, 7-6(3), 1-6, 6-3, 6-4.
The match took 3:02 to reach its conclusion, with Nadal delaying defeat with an eight-minute final game of the fourth set.

Next, Federer will take on the No. 1-seeded Novak Djokovic in Sunday's final. The two have met 47 times over their illustrious careers, with Djokovic holding a 25-22 edge - including a victory in Wimbledon's title match in 2014 and 2015.
The 37-year-old Federer, who picked up his 100th match win at Wimbledon versus Kei Nishikori in the quarterfinal, is seeking his ninth Wimbledon crown and 21st Grand Slam title.
Djokovic, 32, is the tournament's defending champion and is seeking his fifth Wimbledon title and 16th major title overall.
