- There was no questioning who the king of the mountain was after the dust settled at UFC 182. Jon Jones dominated Daniel Cormier in the championship rounds, retaining the Light Heavyweight title with a relatively dominant unanimous decision victory. The pound-for-pound king recently checked himself into a drug treatment facility after testing positive for benzoylecgonine.
- The next challenger for Jones's crown will likely be the winner of the fight between Alexander Gustafsson and Anthony Johnson, who are set to exchange fists and pleasantries at a Fight Night event in January. Gustafsson gave Jones the toughest test of his title reign when the two battled in a gritty, nip-tuck affair at UFC 165.
