Here are theScore's outfielder value ranking for Friday, June 2 (all stats exclude Thursday's games):
Value Rankings

Top Options
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Jackie Bradley Jr. (BOS) | vs. TOR | 9 |
Nomar Mazara (TEX) | vs. SEA | 9 |
Mike Trout (LAA) | at PIT | 8 |
Starling Marte (PIT) | vs. LAA | 8 |
Curtis Granderson (NYM) | at MIA | 8 |
Mark Trumbo (BAL) | vs. NYY | 8 |
Adam Eaton (CWS) | at DET | 8 |
Bradley is set to return to the lineup and join the hot hitting Red Sox. Bradley comes a bit cheaper than some of his counterparts making him the best combination of upside and salary. Mazara is even cheaper, and a lineup with the two of them is recommended even with Mariners RHP Taijuan Walker taking the hill.
The one concern with Trout is whether or not he'll do more than just register walks, especially since Pirates LHP Francisco Liriano has been struggling with his command. Marte, on the other hand, is the best choice from Pittsburgh's outfield. He's hitting .338 with three of his four home runs against RHP.

Mid-Tier Targets
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Mookie Betts (BOS) | vs. TOR | 7 |
George Springer (HOU) | vs. OAK | 7 |
Yoenis Cespedes (NYM) | at MIA | 7 |
Andrew McCutchen (PIT) | vs. LAA | 7 |
Carlos Beltran (NYY) | at BAL | 7 |
J.D. Martinez (DET) | vs. CWS | 7 |
Evan Gattis (HOU) | vs. OAK | 7 |
Corey Dickerson (TB) | at MIN | 7 |
Brandon Guyer (TB) | at MIN | 7 |
Marcell Ozuna (MIA) | vs. NYM | 7 |
Adam Jones (BAL) | vs. NYY | 7 |
Betts, likely due to his five-HR outburst in Baltimore, is extremely expensive. He's capable, but it will sap a big chunk of DFS budget to roster him. Springer, also pricey, is hitting .419 with four home runs over his last 10 games. Gattis, now cemented as a catcher in reality, has been bringing the power of late with five of his six home runs coming since being recalled on May 17.
Guyer and Dickerson would make a nice mini-stack with an infield teammate against Twins RHP Ricky Nolasco. Dickerson is only valuable against RHP and Nolasco is far from elite so it's more likely this is one of Dickerson's good games.
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Ryan Braun (MIL) | at PHI | 6 |
Ian Desmond (TEX) | vs. SEA | 6 |
Matt Kemp (SD) | vs. COL | 6 |
Jose Bautista (TOR) | at BOS | 6 |
Nelson Cruz (SEA) | at TEX | 6 |
Charlie Blackmon (COL) | at SD | 6 |
Adam Duvall (CIN) | vs. WAS | 6 |
Kole Calhoun (LAA) | at PIT | 6 |
Chris Young (BOS) | vs. TOR | 6 |
Jose Ramirez (CLE) | vs. KC | 6 |
Steven Souza Jr. (TB) | at MIN | 6 |
Odubel Herrera (PHI) | vs. MIL | 6 |
Braun is the most appealing Brewers option against Phillies flamethrower Vince Velasquez. This is assuming his neck is fully operational. Cruz has never faced Rangers RHP Yu Darvish and his salary is tantalizingly low. Stick to GPPs with him because of the overall uncertainty. Duvall's power from the right side makes him the best of the Reds outfield against Nats LHP Gio Gonzalez.
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Gregory Polanco (PIT) | vs. LAA | 5 |
Lorenzo Cain (KC) | at CLE | 5 |
Jacoby Ellsbury (NYY) | at BAL | 5 |
Khris Davis (OAK) | at HOU | 5 |
Michael Conforto (NYM) | at MIA | 5 |
Coco Crisp (OAK) | at HOU | 5 |
Seth Smith (SEA) | at TEX | 5 |
Cameron Maybin (DET) | vs. CWS | 5 |
Ben Revere (WAS) | at CIN | 5 |
Jarrod Dyson (KC) | at CLE | 5 |
Carlos Gonzalez (COL) | at SD | 5 |
Polanco drops because of the foot injury that has held him out of two consecutive games. Even if he plays, his production could easily be limited. He's too expensive to take the risk. Conforto has a favorable matchup on paper versus Marlins RHP Tom Koehler, but he's only hit .143 over his last 10.

Nothing to See Here
Name | Opponent | Value |

Bryce Harper (WAS) | at CIN | 4 |
Denard Span (SF) | at STL | 4 |
Melvin Upton Jr. (SD) | vs. COL | 4 |
Christian Yelich (MIA) | vs. NYM | 4 |
Billy Burns (OAK) | at HOU | 3 |
Giancarlo Stanton (MIA) | vs. NYM | 3 |
Billy Hamilton (CIN) | vs. WAS | 3 |
Michael Saunders (TOR) | at BOS | 3 |
Jay Bruce (CIN) | vs. WAS | 3 |
Jayson Werth (WAS) | at CIN | 2 |
Brett Gardner (NYY) | at BAL | 2 |
Carlos Gomez (HOU) | vs. OAK | 2 |
As is often the case, Yelich hasn't quite looked the same since missing time due to injury. Facing Mets RHP Noah Syndergaard, righting the ship may be a tall order on Friday. Hamilton is hitting better, but the salary has jumped too much to make him a worthy endorsement. On the bright side, Gomez has stolen four bases in his last 10 games. On the dark side, everything else.
