Report: Skille, Meszaros attending Avalanche training camp on pro tryouts
The Colorado Avalanche will have some extra skill at training camp.
Jack Skille, that is, who's skating in uniform with the team Tuesday and will be a full participant at camp on a professional tryout, according to Mike Chambers of the Denver Post.
Defenseman Andrej Meszaros will also attend on a PTO, Chambers reports.
Skille spent last season with the Columbus Blue Jackets, recording six goals and two assists in 45 games prior to undergoing shoulder surgery. The 28-year-old forward was drafted seventh overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2005, but he's been hindered by injuries while bouncing around the NHL.
Meszaros, also a first-round pick (23rd in 2004), is a 10-year NHL veteran. He appeared in 60 games for the Buffalo Sabres in 2014-15, contributing seven goals and seven assists.
