Carpenter will have a difficult matchup against Nationals RHP Stephen Strasburg in just his second game back from paternity leave. He's hitting just .252 off righties this year and will face one of the league's best. Castellanos continues to favor righties over lefties, but he is hitting .365 on the road. He's still a plus option against Athletics LHP Rich Hill.
Donaldson and Arenado have the highest upsides of the group but they also have the most difficult matchups. Arenado has the Coors Field advantage, but he's had trouble living up to the price adjustment while at home.
