Austin Dillon: Wins O'Reilly Auto Parts 500
Dillon won the O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 at Texas Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
This would be a wild, long 500-mile race at Texas. It would feature several wrecks and several leads changes. Dillon would take advantage of a caution pit stop late in the race to take just 2 tires and grab valuable track position. It would catapult the No. 3 Chevrolet into the lead during a restart with 23 laps to go. Dillon would battle with his teammate, Tyler Reddick, over the closing laps and hang on for the win despite a couple more caution periods. It was the RCR veteran driver's first victory of the season and third-career win.
