Kyle Busch: Failed Inspection
Because of inspection issues Busch will drop to the rear for the start of Sunday's Pennzoil 400. Racing to the front could be a huge issue for the reigning series champion, given handling issues that plagued the No. 18 Toyota during Friday's practice sessions, NASCAR Wire Service reports.
Analysis:
Despite being awarded the pole, Busch and his No. 18 Toyota will have to fall to the rear of the field before the green flag Sunday at Las Vegas. Busch as well as Toyota teammates, Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell, were found to have non-conforming noses on their Toyotas. All three will have to start Sunday's race from the rear. Given the struggles that all of them had in practice Friday, it could be a long afternoon in the Pennzoil 400.
