Kyle Busch: Wins Monster Energy Cup Series Championship
By virtue of winning the Ford EcoBoost 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway Sunday afternoon, Busch was declared the 2019 NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series champion.
Analysis:
It was an incredible race of mistakes and momentum swings. However, Busch and his No. 18 team were immune to the errors others were suffering. He would lead a 120 laps and battle it out at the front for the full event. After the final green-flag pit stops it would come down to a duel between Busch and Martin Truex Jr. The No. 19 Toyota would gradually cut into Busch's lead, but he would hang on for the win and the championship. It was his fifth win of the season and second-career NASCAR title.
