Kyle Larson: Wins Toyota/Save Mart 350 Pole
Larson won the pole for the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway Saturday afternoon. He turned a fast lap of 95.712 mph.
Analysis:
The No. 42 Chevrolet team showed the speed and the muscle they had in Friday practice, and stormed to the pole Saturday at the Sonoma road course. Larson beat out Joey Logano's lap in the final round of qualifying, and held off a challenge from William Byron to claim the top starting spot for Sunday's race. It was Larson's first pole of the season, but third-consecutive pole position at Sonoma Raceway.
