Jimmie Johnson: Sixth-Place at Kansas
Johnson earned a sixth-place finish in Saturday night's Digital Ally 400 at Kansas Speedway, hendrickmotorsports.com reports.
Analysis:
Johnson would deal with poor-handling and bad track position most of the race, but the No. 48 Chevrolet would come to life late in stage 3. With just 27 laps to go the Hendrick Motorsports star charged from the middle teens to inside the Top 10 in the running order. The overtime finish would see Johnson lose a spot or two, but wind up a very respectable sixth-place in the Digital Ally 400. It was his fifth Top 10 of the season, and Johnson sits 16th-place overall in the driver standings after Kansas Speedway.
