Kasey Kahne: Ends NASCAR career
Kahne was forced to prematurely end his final NASCAR season Tuesday after not receiving medical clearance to return to the track, Kahne revealed on his personal Twitter account.
Analysis:
Kahne announced in August that 2018 would be his final season in his 15-year NASCAR career. He has been battling heat exhaustion while racing since early September, a condition which won't go away as doctors determined that his body is unable to handle extended periods of time in the race car. He intends to continue his racing career in shorter races in sprint cars. He'll finish his career with 18 victories and 176 Top-10 finishes.
