Will Power: Scores 53rd career pole
Power joined A.J. Foyt on the all-time pole winner's list at 53 when he turned the fastest two-lap average in qualifying for Sunday's ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway.
Analysis:
Only Mario Andretti sits ahead on number of career IndyCar poles with 67. The top starting spot is Power's third of the season, and gives him an extra point in the championship battle. He has won the last two Pocono races, and could be the first driver to win three consecutive 500-mile races since Al Unser did it in 1978.
