John Hunter Nemechek: Wins Truck Series Pole at Michigan
Nemechek won the pole for the Corrigan Oil 200 Camping World Truck Series race at Michigan International Speedway Saturday morning. He turned a fast lap of 184.004 mph.
Analysis:
It was only by the slimmest of margins that Nemechek knocked Todd Gilliland from atop the scoring pylon in the final round of truck series qualifying. The driver of the No. 8 Chevy truck edged Gilliland by .001 seconds at the finish line to claim his first pole of the season, and second of his career. Nemechek will look to extend his current Top-10 streak to four races in Saturday afternoon's Corrigan Oil 200.
