Erik Jones: Sixth-Place at Chicago
Jones continued his impressive season with a sixth-place finish Sunday in the Overton's 400 at Chicagoland Speedway.
Analysis:
The Joe Gibbs Racing driver spent more time inside the Top 10 than out Sunday at the Chicago oval. Jones raced to a 10th-place finish in stage 1, but would fall back in the field after that. He'd rally later in the race to spend much of the final stage inside the Top 10. At lap 267 Jones would cross the finish line sixth. It was his seventh Top-10 finish of the season and second in consecutive races. He remains 14th overall the championship standings.
