Kyle Larson: Poor Finish in FireKeepers Casino 400
Larson would spin out through the infield grass and finish 28th in the FireKeepers Casino 400 Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
Larson looked fast enough and well-position to defend his three-race win streak at the Michigan oval Sunday afternoon. However, the Chip Ganassi Racing star would run into big trouble on lap 87. The left rear tire of the No. 42 Chevrolet would fail going into turn 4, but Larson would do a good job keeping the car out of the wall. However, he would slide into the infield grass and do some minor damage to the machine. From that point on Larson would struggle to maintain the lead lap, and collect the disappointing finish when rain ended the event on lap 133. He slips one spot to 10th-place in the overall driver standings.
