Ricky Stenhouse Jr.: Fifth-Place at Talladega
Stenhouse Jr. finished fifth in the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
It was the type of superspeedway performance we've come to expect from Stenhouse. His No. 17 Ford was great and he had no difficulty racing from the back to the front on more than one occasion. The Roush Fenway Racing veteran would only lead 4 laps for the afternoon, but he'd be among the leaders in the closing laps. Stenhouse wouldn't work with Chase Elliott, and ultimately that would keep him from moving any further forward on the last lap. The Top-5 finish was his second of the season, and Stenhouse climbs four spots to 15th-place in the series standings.
