Tony Stewart: Settles Wrongful-Death Suit
Five weeks before trial, Stewart and the parents of Kevin Ward Jr. have agreed to settle the wrongful-death lawsuit against the three-time NASCAR Cup champion, Bob Pockrass of ESPN reports.
Analysis:
Stewart has reached an agreement with the family of Ward Jr. in their wrongful death civil suit against the former NASCAR champion. The settlement will keep both sides from having to review testimony or watch video of the accident that led to Ward's death. This brings to a close a long chapter of Stewart's life that began with the 2014 sprint car accident in New York.
