Paul Menard: Crash and DNF at Phoenix
Menard crashed and finished 36th in the Ticket Guardian 500 at ISM Raceway Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
Menard's good start to the season hit a speed bump at the Phoenix short track. It looked like the Wood Brothers Racing driver could have been racing for a Top-15 finish, but on lap 189 it would appear that the No. 21 Ford blew a tire going off into turn 2. Menard's Ford would back into the outside wall hard causing extensive damage. He'd be retired to the garage for the day with the DNF. Menard slips from ninth- to 14th-place in the series standings as a result.
