10. Jordan Amavi - Nice to Aston Villa

Reported £10-million transfer fee (Read more)

Aston Villa was able to capture the top left-back from Ligue 1 last season after reaching an agreement with OGC Nice for the transfer of Jordan Amavi. A phenom on the defensive end, the 21-year-old should flourish under manager Tim Sherwood's guidance.

9. Dimitri Payet - Marseille to West Ham

Reported £10.6-million transfer fee (Read more)

Dimitri Payet has crossed the English Channel and will be the engine of West Ham United during the club's final season at Upton Park. Through 36 Ligue 1 appearances last season, Payet notched seven goals and a league-leading 17 assists. He also led Ligue 1 in key passes per game (3.7), carving apart backlines on a weekly basis.

8. Nathaniel Clyne - Southampton to Liverpool

Reported £12.5-million transfer fee (Read more)

Nathaniel Clyne became the sixth player to make the move to Anfield this summer when Liverpool confirmed his capture. Among the Premier League's top right-backs, Clyne's arrival will bode well for the Merseyside club following the departure of Glen Johnson, and will prevent Emre Can from having to play out of position.

7. Georginio Wijnaldum - PSV to Newcastle

Reported £14.5-million transfer fee (Read more)

Newcastle United's first signing of the summer was a brilliant acquisition, as Georginio Wijnaldum, who was named Dutch Footballer of the Year following a 2014-15 season in which he notched 14 goals and three assists as PSV Eindhoven captured the Eredivisie title, signed a five-year deal with the Tyne-Wear club. He should make an immediate impact at St. James' Park.

6. Toby Alderweireld - Atletico Madrid to Tottenham

Reported £11.5-million transfer fee (Read more)

It was a messy transfer, but it all worked out in the end. For Tottenham Hotspur, at least. Toby Alderweireld, who can feature at both centre-back and as a defensive midfielder, joined Tottenham from Atletico Madrid. The deal reportedly led to Southampton, where Alderweireld spent last season on loan, contemplating legal action against Atleti for selling him to another side.

5. Jordy Clasie - Feyenoord to Southampton

Reported £7-million transfer fee (Read more)

Southampton's signing of Jordy Clasie marked the club's fifth acquisition of the summer. At St. Mary's Stadium, the Dutch midfielder, who signed a five-year contract, will be reunited with manager and compatriot Ronald Koeman, as the pair spent three years together at Feyenoord. A defensive midfielder with a wide range of skills, Clasie is the perfect embodiment of a club on the rise.

4. Yohan Cabaye - Paris Saint-Germain to Crystal Palace

Reported £19-million transfer fee (Read more)

Yohan Cabaye will be linking up with manager Alan Pardew once again after Crystal Palace confirmed the signing of the 29-year-old midfielder. Of course, the pair worked together at Newcastle before Cabaye departed for Paris Saint-Germain, where he suffered from injuries and a limited role. If anyone can get Cabaye to return to top form, it's likely Pardew.

3. Morgan Schneiderlin - Southampton to Manchester United

Reported £24-million transfer fee (Read more)

It was a phenomenal day for Manchester United when Morgan Schneiderlin's transfer saga finally came to an end. Following a year of rumours surrounding his exit from Southampton, the 25-year-old midfielder finally put pen to paper on a deal with United, where his tackling abilities and eye for goal will be welcomed.

2. Memphis Depay - PSV to Manchester United

Reported £25-million transfer fee (Read more)

Few transfers can claim to possess the swagger that Memphis Depay's move to United holds. After all, he'll be taking the pitch at Old Trafford with "Memphis" inscribed on the back of his shirt. Having notched 22 goals and five assists through 30 appearances as PSV captured the Eredivisie title last season, Depay can be a revelation at United.

1. Raheem Sterling - Liverpool to Manchester City

Reported £49-million transfer fee (Read more)

Some thought the day would never come. Others believe his transfer saga is still ongoing in an alternate universe. In a move that directly impacts the top of the Premier League table, Manchester City finally completed its signing of Raheem Sterling, the 20-year-old whose talent is undeniable, and who finds himself hated by Liverpool following his ugly exit from the Merseyside club.
