Report: Sabres willing to part with second 2015 1st round draft pick

The Buffalo Sabres are willing to flip part of their future for more immediate help as early as next season.

General manager Tim Murray has reportedly told his colleagues currently meeting in Florida that his club's second 2015 first-round draft pick is up for grabs, provided the price is right.

The Sabres, who are currently in line to have the best shot at the first overall pick, also possess a second first-round pick acquired in separate deals involving the St. Louis Blues and New York Islanders

The Blues sit fourth overall, meaning the pick will likely be late in the opening round, albeit in what is projected to be a deep draft.

Buffalo clearly has several holes to fill on the roster, and the pick could indeed help bring NHL-ready talent to the fold.
