Here's what you need to know...

  • San Francisco had scored three points in the second half of their three games prior to Sunday. However, the 49ers' second-half woes didn't continue, as they scored 13 on Sunday to hold onto a 26-21 lead.
  • Philadelphia failed to score an offensive touchdown.
  • The Eagles drove to the 49ers goal line with less than two minutes remaining, but Nick Foles missed Jeremy Maclin on fourth down with 1:50 remaining. Philadelphia had a late drive, but Foles was intercepted by Perrish Cox.
  • Colin Kaepernick went 17-for-30, throwing for 218 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
  • Some things still remain the same: the 49ers committed 10 penalties for 80 yards and continue to be plagued by a lack of discipline.
  • The Eagles' special teams had a banner day on Sunday. Trey Burton blocked a punt that was recovered for a touchdown, while Darren Sproles scored on an outstanding 82-yard punt return.
  • Without star guard Evan Mathis in the lineup, the Eagles' running game crumbled. LeSean McCoy ran for 17 yards on 10 carries, and Philadelphia amassed just 22 yards on the ground.
  • Eagles quarterback Nick Foles led the league in passing yards prior to Sunday but had his first poor game of the season. Foles went 21-for-43 for 195 yards and two interceptions.
  • 49ers tight end Vernon Davis left the game in the third quarter with a back injury and did not return. Right tackle Anthony Davis also left the game and did not come back.
