Robin Lehner will have to wait a little longer to get back in the win column.

Francois Beauchemin scored with just 32 seconds remaining in regulation to lead the Colorado Avalanche to a 2-1 victory over the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday.

The goal spoiled a fantastic performance by Lehner, who made 33 saves on 35 shots in just his second start since sustaining an ankle injury during the first game of the season.

The 24-year-old has not won since Feb. 14.

Buffalo, which falls to 19-24-4 with the loss, jumped out to an early lead on Evander Kane's 10th goal of the season, but couldn't beat Semyon Varlamov the rest of the way.

Alex Tanguay tied the game in the third period with his third goal of the season, setting the stage for Beauchemin's dramatic winner.

Beauchemin also picked up an assist on Tanguay's goal, giving him 24 points in 48 games this season.

Colorado improves to 24-21-3 with the win, remaining in the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference.
