- Originally expected to defend her title against Claudia Gadelha, Joanna Jedrzejczyk will instead square off with the streaking Valerie Letourneau at UFC 194 in December. "Joanna Champion" absolutely scorched Jessica Penne in June, while Letourneau ran her UFC record to 3-0 with a hype-train derailing victory over Maryna Moroz.
- Prior to her title fight-destroying hand injury, Gadelha halted Jessica Aguilar's 10-fight winning streak with a lopsided decision victory at UFC 190 in August. A former WSOF strawweight champion, Aguilar reportedly suffered a broken foot before the bout.
- With a 3-0 record inside the Octagon, emerging superstar Paige VanZant faces venomous striker Joanne Calderwood at a Fight Night event in December. VanZant has been dominant since making her UFC debut in 2014, racking up consecutive victories over Kailin Curran, Felice Herrig, and Alex Chambers.
- Tecia Torres will try to keep her undefeated record intact against Michelle "The Karate Hottie" Waterson at UFC 194 in December. Waterson looked impressive in her Octagon debut in July when she absolutely mauled Angela Magana.
