The Colorado Avalanche almost let one get away from them Monday night.
The club watched as the Columbus Blue Jackets clawed their way back into the game, netting the tying goal with six seconds left in regulation to push it to overtime.
Luckily, Matt Duchene put the Avalanche in front for good in the extra frame, finishing off a two-on-one break with Erik Johnson to seal the 3-2 victory.
The goal was Duchene's seventh of the year, and gave the team wins in consecutive games for just the second time this season.
